About Dixie Park

The Honorable Dixie Park has served as a Judge of the Probate Division, Stark County Court of Common Pleas over the past 16 years and has held executive committee responsibilities with the Ohio Association of Probate Judges. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Life Sciences from Kent State University, Judge Dixie Park received a JD from the University of Akron School of Law. While in law school, she began with the common pleas court as a judicial clerk, before moving on to a position as a magistrate within the court’s General Division.

Judge Park has set in place innovative programs such as Guardian Support Services, which provides training and support for volunteer guardians and coordinates volunteer guardianship services countywide. She subsequently oversaw the establishment of the Guardian Oversight Council, which brings together various community members in providing the Probate Court with recommendations on community standards on guardianship.

Judge Park’s sustained efforts in ensuring ethical guardianship services over the years were recognized in 2017 through the Ohio Guardianship Association Distinguished Service Award. She is active on the Trustee Board of the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration and the Regina Coeli Catholic Woman's Club. She was selected to the YWCA Stark County Women’s Hall of Fame.
